day 10 out of 365 i am tired beyond no compare today. although i had a pretty amazing day i just don't have the energy to keep going. much like the short lived chords in this piece. this was a new style of playing for me. never before have i played such a "jerky" improv. but i am glad to be getting some new sounds, even if they aren't as pretty. time for bed. what is this this series of videos is a spin off of something called project 365. project 365 is a project where you take a picture every day representing what you learned, the events that took place, the people you met, and things of that nature so that you will remember every day of the year. i suck at taking pictures, so i decided i would play a piano improvisation every day for a year. all of the improvisations were finished on the first take, there is no editing, or re-recording involved at all. there is no practicing or composing beforehand either. i don't even warm up before i shoot them. i simply sit down, hit record, and what you see is what you get.
