this shot is from just outside the village on the north side. i'm about 20 feet from the seawall on a boardwalk. well, standing on the cement side of a bench on the boardwalk. at the very beginning of this clip, you see the community centre. and yes, that was a rather large beaver at the left. at the half-way point, you can see more of false creek and then downtown vancouver, the plaza of nations, bc place, burrard inlet and science world. and more beaver. the category for this video is people amp blogs because approximately 1 4 of the housing here will be for people with low incomes. originally it was supposed to be much higher, but the cost of the village became greater than expected, so some of the low income apartments had to be given up to help cover the costs. oh well. poor people can still come and visit. -

pat has been taking my fit camp cles for the past 2 months and i am very proud of her. when she came to my cl she could not do a push up or reverse push up but every time she came, she had gotten stronger. she has not only gotten so much fitter but has been eating very well and i am so proud of her. she not only lost weight, but became so much stronger and i want to thank her for her hard work and i am sure she will keep it up because she enjoyed my hard workouts and instead of quitting she kept going. all it took was working out with me 3 times a week, eating healthier food and having a great atude. she gave me her best and i did the rest. i know she will soon reach her fitness goals. she sets a great example for anyone else who want to get fit with mar and i want to thank her for her testimony. thank you pat marta motivationactionresults getfitwithmar getfitinhawaii

even though i was aware of earl wilds declining health, i still was no quite prepared to read of his death in the january 23 issue of the los angeles times. the pianist died in palm springs california, where he spent part of each year before moving there permanently a few years ago. however, his appearances in the los angeles area were infrequent. i last heard him play in la 15 years ago in a recital marking his 80th birthday. i recall that recital included a hair raising performance of liszts dante sonata. the la times obituary refers to him as the elder statesman of american piano virtuosos who was often called the last of the great romantic pianists. wild had a vast repertoire which included music from the baroque to the 20th century. however, he became pigeonholed as a pianist who could only be taken seriously in virtuoso show pieces. hopefully, his recorded legacy will eventually reverse that opinion. wild was a master piano transcriber, a trait held in common with many other great romantic pianists. i had hoped that i would be able to hear wild play once again. we have the recordings, but its not quite the same.

meena kumari or mahjabeen bano 1 august 1932 - 31 march 1972, was an indian movie actress and poetess. she is regarded as one of the most prominent actresses to have appeared on the screens of hindi cinema. during a career spanning 30 years from her childhood to her death, she starred in more than ninety films, many of which have achieved clic and cult status today. kumari gained a reputation for playing grief-stricken and tragic roles, and her performances have been praised and reminisced throughout the years. meena kumari gained fame with her role as a heroine in vijay bhatt's baiju bawra 1952. this heroine always negated herself for the material and spiritual advancement of the man she loved and was even willing to annihilate herself to provide him the experience of pain so that his music would be enriched. she became the first actress to win the filmfare best actress award in 1953 for this performance. meena kumari highly successfully played the roles of a suffering woman in parineeta 1953, daera 1953, ek hi raasta 1956, sharda 1957, and dil apna aur preet parayi 1960. though she cultivated the image of a tragedienne, she also performed commendably in a few light-hearted movies like azaad 1955, miss mary 1957, shararat 1959, and kohinoor 1960.pakeezah, starring kumari and directed by her ex-husband kamal amrohi, took 14 years to reach the silver screen. first planned by amrohi in 1958, the film went on the studio floors in 1964, but the shooting came to a standstill after their separation in march 1964, when it was more than halfway complete.5 in 1969, sunil dutt and nargis previewed some reels of the shelved film and convinced the estranged amrohi and kumari to complete it.1 hindustan times described the meeting which dutt had organised between the two: not much was said, but streams of tears were shed... amrohi greeted her with a token payment of a gold guinea and the promise that hed make her look as beautiful as the day she had started the film.5 gravelly ill, kumari was determined to complete the film and, well aware of the limited time left for her to live, went out of her way to complete it at the earliest. despite her rapidly deteriorating health, she gave the finishing touches to her performance. initially, after its release in february 1972, pakeezah opened to a lukewarm response from the public however, after meena kumari's death less than two months later, people flocked to see it, making it a major box-office success. the film has since gained a cult and clic status, and kumari's performance as a golden-hearted lucknow prosute drew major praise. she posthumously received her twelfth and last filmfare nomination. throughout her life, kumari had a love-hate relationship with movies, and besides being a top-notch actress, she was a talented poetess, and recorded a disc of her urdu poems, i write, i recite with music by khayyam. editdeath three weeks after the release of pakeezah, meena kumari became seriously ill, and died on 31 march 1972 of cirrhosis of the liver. meena kumari bornmahjabeen bano august 1, 1932 bombay, bombay presidency, british india diedmarch 31, 1972 aged 39 bombay, maharashtra, india meenaji ka sapna sach hotah agar unkah beta civil engineer hotah
