india's commonwealth games are only four days away. and authorities have increased security measures at the state-of-the-art media center and other venues in new delhi. with just a few days left before the commonwealth games begin, security has been increased across new delhi. several squads of security officials conducted a thorough drill inside the state-of-the art games media center on tuesday. dog squads and bomb units were deployed at both the media center and the games village to check for explosives. scores of personnel from the delhi police used sophisticated gadgets to check the belongings of visitors and journalists at the media center. thousands of security personnel have been mobilized at games venues as contingents from various participating countries trickle in. meanwhile, more athletes from team scotland arrived at delhi's indira gandhi international airport, amid heavy security cover. they joined the 77 other team members who arrived in new delhi on monday. the players were received by games' volunteers and the media, before being taken to the games village. more than 1500 athletes are already staying at the games village. india is expecting about ten thousand athletes from 71 teams, representing 54 commonwealth member states. a huge influx of sports enthusiasts and tourists is also expected during the games. the commonwealth games runs from october 3 to october 14. india hopes to use the games as an opportunity to display its growing global economic and ltbgt...lt bgt
