Video Title: (Tritant 6th Grande Marche Played On Estey Reed Organ) Video Duration: 7:53 From: Mustel1887 Category: Music little is known about gustave tritant, but he was probably active in france during the third quarter of the nineteenth century. he composed thirteen volumes of music for organ or harmonium, enled "l'office pratique de l'organiste," wherein tritant is credited as "ex-organiste de la cathédrale de reims, de st. augustin de paris, etc." the sixth volume contains twenty marches, including this 6th grande marche solennelle. this volume has been re-published by kalmus, but i must thank my friend wayne for the gift of an original edition during the 2003 gathering of the reed organ society. does anyone have any other books in this set the instrument is an estey style g reed organ, with two manuals and a pedal clavier, built in brattleboro, vermont c. 1920. it is now used at the mission dolores in san francisco, california. thanks to the curator and organist there for allowing this recording, and to brian, my fearless page-turner. performed by michael hendron, recorded 27 august 2010.
