swimming for halstead in lane 5 2nd from the right at braintree in rnd 3 of the es league. so this is me showcasing 3 months of fitness training and constant swimming. ironically, i had people expecting a pb, yet i was calm and reasonably relaxed. however, on the block, after the 'take your marks' i 'bounced' and d qed myself. i knew it going into the water and actually shouted "sht" on the way in with the dived. however, i forgot about it during the race and had only one thing on my mind beating the guy next to me... he was stuck to me all the way through, and i only beat him on the touch. never the less, a dq is a dq, and that is that. whilst i'm gutted the time isnt official, i know i can do it, and more to the point, it was a fun race. i enjoyed it.
