to really increase the quality of life for your pet you need to train him her to do something. if done right, animals learn to really love their training sessions. it introduces challenge, interrest and fun into their lives and increases their bond to their human. to an animal 'training time' equals love. in stuart's case i decided to teach him to be comfortable and stay put in a little boat i made him. since mice are too small for leashes, having him reliably stay in the boat will allow him to go outside and experience the wonders of the natural world in a limited but safe way. this video shows our first few training sessions. more videos to come - he is now a pro at mousy boating :
