this video shows students from ysleta high school environmental science academy gathering water samples from the rio grande river near their school in in el paso, texas. as part of the rio research roundup project organized by the gulf of mexico foundation, they tested the water for 10 chemicals, measured the ph and salinity, then sent the samples to be part of the "ceremonial mixing" of the rio grande watershed at the mouth of the river in south texas on october 16, dia del rio.
