in our science lesson we investigated if you can make a lava lamp using oil and water with food colouring and something that makes the water bubble. at first it didn't work however we tried again and it was successful. we used an alka seltzer to make the bubbles. i think it works because oil is denser than water and the alka seltzer moves the water.
