a tripadvisor™ tripwow video of a travel blog to la paz, bolivia by travelpod blogger livingthedream. see this tripwow and more at tripwotripadvisor la paz bolivia, the worlds most dangerous road... after the 7.5 hour train ride and a 3.5 hour bus ride i made it to la paz, 3660ft above sea level ... i have never seen such sprawl in my live. as i approached from alto la paz heights looking down on the city i couldnt see any land, just buildings in the valley. amazing. see the pics. i met a bunch of other tourists on the train so we out out to dinner at a lebanese restaurant called yussef, the meal was delicious the alude really gets you here. try going out for a boogie and see if you can last more than 2 songs spent my last day in la paz doing a mini tour of the praca san franciso and praca murillo before heading off to watch the world cup at and argentine restaurant, sadly argentina lost to germany but i was rewarded with a great argentine parrilla bbq of great meat and a choripan chorizo on bread. after lunch i drove past san pedro prson for some pics death road moutain bike ride yesterday i took a moutain bike tour of the worlds most dangerous road. from 4800ft above sea level down to 1300ft,75 kilometres in 6 hours on dirt and rock narrow roads no wider than a bus. there were 10 of us in the group with 2 guides and a back up vehicle. 99 was downhill with the initial strecth on an asphalt road and only 7klm uphill. was an amazing ride and the tour ltbgt...lt bgt

we see trucks, bulldozers, forklifts and cranes at construction sites all the time. today, though, we get to see work at the dry fork station done with something entirely different a helicopter. by using a helicopter to remove the items from the top of the chimney and bringing materials up, we probably save 3-4 weeks of time. pullman power, dry fork stations chimney contractor, built the plants chimney stack using a hydraulic lift system. now, that equipment needs to be removed and the roof or rain cap needs to be delivered to the top of the stack. before that happens, final preparations are made that includes a job safety annaysis. all riggings inspected. all of our rigging is brand new nylon chokers on top and on the ground. once the rigging crews are in place on the stack and the staging area, the pilots buckle in. the helicopter lift is about to begin here at the dry fork station. the east half of the plant has been shut down to all road access as well as the railroad for about two hours while the lift is happening. the helicopter behind me is about ready to take off for its first trip. doug ramsey: this will be the first pick off the top of the chimney. they are going to remove what they call the cat head. thats the eye beams that supported some of the structures on top of the chimney. the support structures and strand jack system were used in the construction of the chimneys steel liner, which is inside the 500 foot concrete shell. doug ramsey: theres, i believe, nine loads to be removed from the top of the chimney and then theres seven loads that will be hauled from the staging area up to the top of the chimney, which are the components for the rain cap, the roof section of the top of the chimney. once welded in place, the rain cap will protect the stack from the elements. as always, safety is top priority. the pilot and riggers on the stack are in constant communication during the lift. i try and get him to bring it in towards me and i grab the tagline and well just kind of pull the taglines apart to keep them from spinning around and once you get it spun the way you want it to, ill just tell him, you know, down, down, down and hell just basically push it down in between the stack. in all, this sikorsky helicopter makes 11 trips with 16 individual picks before landing. after a month of planning and just 48 minutes in the air, the lift is complete. without the helicopter we would have had to erect a gin pole and use a hoist to do it manually, which would have impacted contractors around the chimney. so, this was safer and much more efficient for us. all the planning paid off. the lift went fantastic. it was boring, which is what we shoot for. the chimney stack is now 95 percent complete. pullman power just needs to weld the rain cap in place and finish the electrical work. basinelectric basinelectric.wordpress

''not good enough.'' he said, tilting his head to the side, biting his bottom lip. i only scoffed, and marched up the corridoor, and made my way to science cl, with lovely mr briggs. deffinetley, not my day. - justin pov ♥ the weather had been dismal all morning amp the angry sound of thunder errupted. the rain had gotten very heavy, and just like every day a 4:00pm, the traffic was horrendous. with the swishing of the non-stop window wippers, the penetration of the rain hitting against the screen, and the loud moans of mother nature, fitted together perfectly. the dizzy radio singnal was becoming dodgy, so now was i not only bored, annoyed and cold, but i was also, unsatisfied. the enraged people in the vehicles around me, continuously pipped there horns, and shouted out of there windows, risking to get wet. we weren't gonna' budge, end of. i tapped away at the steering wheel, and gave a loud miserable sigh, when my eye caught the same pair of legs that had been staring at, for the past three days. i rubbed over the steamy window and saw pixie walking along the street, looking fed up, cold and extremely wet. i was taking the chance, so i gave the blocked, busy road another check, before i hopped out of the car. the beeping of peoples cars only got worst, and i heard the odd phrase of ''get off the road jack'' run from the displeased people, behind the wheels of the cars, who were desperate to get home. i pulled my jock jacket above my head as i ran, and as soon as my foot hit the pavement, i heard the slapping of water bounce from off of my high top sneakers. ''pixie'' i shouted, trying to over come the noisy sea of convulsed objects around me. her body calmy turned around, she squinted her eyes, as the water from the sky tryed to enter them. if this is your first visit, welcome to the marxville and plateau map. it's a tad bit warm in the man cave and so not much progress has been made of late. i was initially going to do only a quickie video of another train running around the plateau and not bothering to remove last week's props. this was to be called 'nothing special on the map' - but once i got started i figured, hey why not pull down some of those tinplate buildings and highlight them. ok, so here's the particulars. the train featured today is the marx set 4350 steam freight set being pulled by a really good running 400 0-4-0 steam engine. the set normally comes with a 'sinclair' tank car but my set had a 'utlx union tank car co' tank car. other cars are the 551 nyc tender, 241708 bampo gondola, and 20102 nyc caboose, all with plastic knuckle couplers. the set also comes with the 319 30-watt transformer, 16 pieces of o-34 track and the marx paper village. however, my set is missing the village. the structures used in today's shooting are a mix of vintage marx, skyline, wyandotte, hamph sales, ohio art, and brumberger. the garage is new production from the czech republic firm of kovap and the milwaukee road station is also new production and currently available from sunset trains and toys. sunsettrainsandtoys the figures are vintage marx. the vehicles too are all vintage from a variety of companies like marx, ideal, renwal, thomas toys, and banner. hope you enjoyed seeing vintage tin running ltbgt...lt bgt

the new kid on the nissan block is the juke, is the younger brother of the quashqai. it's had to pull out some stops to beat the success of the quashqai and nissan have made sure this supermini will live up to the hype of its older brother. the mini crossover has taken on a number of features from the nissan family including the sloping roof from the gtr and the broad shoulders of the 370z described as a compact suv meets a sports car this curvy car not only looks the part but it can move to, the 1.6 turbo charged engine goes from 0-62mph in 8 seconds. the high front end with its seventies inspired rally headlights gives the juke a bold and boastful look, adding to its prowess on the road. the exaggerated wheel arches and 17 inch alloy add to the curviness of this unique supermini. the interior lives up to the exterior and boasts a large centre console that mimics the shape of a motorbike fuel tank, which is available in two colours. integrated into the consol is an array of gadgets including the new nissan dynamic control system that features a screen and buttons that change function depending on mode. in one mode they control the air conditioning, in another the driving experience. the juke is as practical as it is quirky, unlike other superminis in its cl it has a large 251 litre boot, which can be extended with flat folding rear seats, as well as an under floor storage compartment for delicate items. with all theses features as well as its unique looks its safe to ltbgt...lt bgt

i looked at the books.one had my name and one had hers.i bit my lip as i opened hers.they were songs.the first one was labeled.still in love with you. my heart dropped as my hands let the book go. tears escaped. he still loves demi. i got up and grabbed all my stuff packing it. i left a note grabbed my stuff and left the house without looking back. i threw my bags in my car and drove. i had no clue where w was going to go. my parents dies years ago. i'm only child. so no siblings to stay with. i sighed as i pulled off the freeway pulling into a cheap hotel on the side of the road. i got out and walked upto the clerk. i asked him for a room. he gave me a key along with his number. gross. i walked into the room and set my bag down on the polyester chair. i sighed as i lowered by body onto the bed. i looke around t the gray ed wall paper. i sighed and fell back. i looked up at the ceiling as tears escaped my eyes. all those times he urd me he was over her. they were lies. every moment we had. based on the lies he fed me. i let the tears slowly roll down my cheeks as i sniffled. how could he do this to me. i wiped away the fallen tears and crawled up to the pillows laying my head on them. i closed my eyes as he engulfed my every thought. my every dream. i woke up the next day to my phone ringing. i groaned and lifted my tired body from the hard matress. i picked up my cell phone from the night stand. i looked down at the caller id it was him. i glowered down at my ltbgt...lt bgt

okays, looks like banana man has decided to fill the shoes of pcs. fine by me. ray comfort, of way of the master living waters ministry is a fundamentalist christian, best known for declaring that bananas prove the existence of god. now ray always tries to put the positive spin on this, like look at all the publicity i get, while ignoring the fact that he is an internet star only for his stupidity. however, while ray comfort and kirk cameron may be slow learners, its dawning even on them, that having someone who is famous for their stupidity endorsing a product like the bible, may not really be a particularly good strategy. they have therefore evidently tried to rewrite history at least twice now to shake off the spectre of the banana man. the first one was the apology from ray comfort, where he basically said his banana design proves god is valid, if you include the coke can. in this video he also acknowledges that bananas have been selectively cultivated by man he uses the word hybridize. ray, in a recent video has back pedaled on this to saying there is no evidence of this. yes this is simply denial. however denial should not be too much of a surprise given the mans claims that he knows where the universe came from, because of some 2000 yr old desert ramblings. anyway ray comfort has now gone on to pretend that even his attempts to rewrite history never happened, and in what can only be described as a bold faced lie, without shame, ray has now claimed that it was satire humor all along. if you had said that from the beginning ray, someone might have believed you. regrettably the fact that your story changes every time you tell it simply rings of a liar without shame trying to shake off a brand image, that on camera you claim to be happy about. yup this video is not as polished as some of the more recent wdplac. it was made in comparative haste, and on the road. i have real work to be getting on with at the moment, and free time is a scare commodity.
