dog park is a two acre, chain link fenced-in groomed park open to all dogs to run free as long as there is an attendant with each dog to care for its needs. the park is a beautifully treed area providing cool shade in the summertime. there is fresh water available from a protected dispenser and everything the attendant needs to ensure that the park is kept clean of their pets litter. on rainy days or cold winter days, there is a "people shelter" to keep you dry and out of the wind. adjacent to the two acre off-leash dog park, there is the approximately 40 acre hanna park network of groomed walking trails. a perfect afternoon would typically be a half-hour walk in hanna park with your pets followed by a half hour or more of socializing with other dogs in the kinsmen dog park. it is a joy to behold the enthusiastic welcome given to newly arriving dogs by the dogs already in and enjoying the park.
