no pressure from: 1010global today we put up a mini-movie about 10:10 and climate change called 'no pressure'. with climate change becoming increasingly threatening, and decreasingly talked about in the media, we wanted to find a way to bring this critical issue back into the headlines whilst making people laugh. we were therefore delighted when britain's leading comedy writer, richard curtis - writer of blackadder, four weddings, notting hill and many others agreed to write a short film for the 10:10 campaign. many people found the resulting film extremely funny, but unfortunately some didn't and we sincerely apologise to anybody we have offended. as a result of these concerns we've taken it off our website. we won't be making any attempt to censor or remove other versions currently in circulation on the internet. we'd like to thank the 50 film professionals and 40 actors and extras and who gave their time and equipment to the film for free. we greatly value your contributions and the tremendous enthusiasm and professionalism you brought to the project. at 10:10 we're all about trying new and creative ways of getting people to take action on climate change. unfortunately in this instance we missed the mark. oh well, we live and learn. onwards and upwards, franny, lizzie, eugenie and the whole 10:10 team

7. population control. to meet these targets as policy sounds like a slippery slope to me. if i dont communicate this well ill try again later but ill start with an annaogy. you know how restaurants, stadiums, theatres, or any social conventions have a sign posted somewhere that says maximum capacity this isnt to control anybody per se or take away their freedom, its more of a management issue to ensure a comfortable environment for everyone as opposed to a crammed suffocating claustrophobic sweathouse. never mind if there is a fire, youll die in the stampede before the fire itself. my point here is we need to balance our resources with our people to ensure the best quality of life for all. if we are too focused on having more and more babies while disregarding the infrastructure of a city, that city could experience shortages in water, lack of teachers, higher job compeion, etc. of course this doesnt mean killing off anybody. if anything it is a myth that we are overpopulated, we have the capacity to support many more people on this planet, the problem is how current systems in place cities, distribution of resources, zoning and planning are so ridiculously inefficient and abused that we think its a idea to get rid of some people. we have the oceans to colonize, we have the moon possibly, we have deserts that can be converted to forests we have the technology to do that now. the idea is to keep population with abundance and to do that we have to consider ltbgt...lt bgt

my second day in morelia entailed a full-day excursion to nearby lake patzcuaro. after an enjoyable country drive we made our first stop in quiroga, a commercial country town that is well known for its carnitas, exquisitely roasted tender pork that is rolled up inside a soft tortilla delicious hundreds of vendors sell clothing, fruits, vegetables and all sorts of trinkets. after a stop in the historic town of tzintzuntzan, the former capital of the purepecha empire, we drove to the shores of lake patzcuaro and took a boat to the island of janitzio, an island that is crowned by a 50 metre high statue of jose maria morelos, one of mexicos most important indepence heros. janitizo is most well known for its exuberant celebrations of the dia de los muertos day of the dead. after climbing up a series of steep steps flanked by shops selling handicrafts and local food, we reached the top of the island and even lined up to climb the inside of the statue. once we had reached the top of the statue we were able to peer out over the lake from the stretched-out fist of jose maria morelos. our final stop for the day was in the historic town of patzcuaro where we grabbed a bite to eat and took a walk through the historic downtown. we visited the basilica de nuestra senora de la salud as well as the casa de los once patios house of the eleven courtyards, a former nunnery that has been turned into a centre of culture and arts and crafts. we watched two local artists, a woodworker and ltbgt...lt bgt

my second day in morelia entailed a full-day excursion to nearby lake patzcuaro. after an enjoyable country drive we made our first stop in quiroga, a commercial country town that is well known for its carnitas, exquisitely roasted tender pork that is rolled up inside a soft tortilla delicious hundreds of vendors sell clothing, fruits, vegetables and all sorts of trinkets. after a stop in the historic town of tzintzuntzan, the former capital of the purepecha empire, we drove to the shores of lake patzcuaro and took a boat to the island of janitzio, an island that is crowned by a 50 metre high statue of jose maria morelos, one of mexicos most important indepence heros. janitizo is most well known for its exuberant celebrations of the dia de los muertos day of the dead. after climbing up a series of steep steps flanked by shops selling handicrafts and local food, we reached the top of the island and even lined up to climb the inside of the statue. once we had reached the top of the statue we were able to peer out over the lake from the stretched-out fist of jose maria morelos. our final stop for the day was in the historic town of patzcuaro where we grabbed a bite to eat and took a walk through the historic downtown. we visited the basilica de nuestra senora de la salud as well as the casa de los once patios house of the eleven courtyards, a former nunnery that has been turned into a centre of culture and arts and crafts. we watched two local artists, a woodworker and ltbgt...lt bgt

a tripadvisor™ tripwow video of a travel blog to arbaqu, iran by travelpod blogger tracystravels. see this tripwow and more at tripwotripadvisor arbaqu and caravanserai zein-o-din "we said our goodbyes to our new friends in the early morning of the 13th which you may not know is my birthday and set off on our way to arbaqu. my tour mates and leader, reza, made this day very special for me. i was sad being away from friends and family but the thoughtfulness of my tour mates and leader and the nomads helped quite a bit. they sang happy birthday to me while we were sitting with the nomads for breakfast. meg gave me a posey that she made down at the river earlier in the morning and the nomads gave me a bag of dried yogurt to take with me. the taste was interesting but it was the thought that counts, right we headed out to arbaqu to a hotel that was a bit out of town in the desert. we visited the tomb of cyrus in pasagardae on the way, basically a large rock tomb in the middle of nowhere with scaffolding all over it for restoration, i ume in the past, the grounds were lovely gardens etc but now only sand and desert remained. when we got into town, we saw a huge ice house where the used to store ice, a 4500 year old cypress tree and the 11th century gonbad ali dome where we had chai and watched a beautiful sunset fill the sky. that evening, we had a nice dinner at the hotel and my birthday celebration continued i got a box of chocolates...didn't take long for my ltbgt...lt bgt
