کروبی اقدام جنتی را تغییرماهیت شورای نگهبان از نهادی قانونی به حزب سیاسی دانسته و نوشت: «این حق را برای خود قایل هستم که از سلامت انتخابات نگران باشم. در واقع، هنگامی که پیر شورای نگهبان از نامزدی خاص در جمع ناظران دفاع می‌کند، از ناظران جوان آن چه انتظاری می‌توان داشت که جز این دریابند که باید همان فرد خاص برنده انتخابات ۲۲ خرداد باشد.»
